Home Health

Harrison County Home Health is a Medicare, Medicaid certified Home Health Agency.  We know how important it is to manage every aspect of patient care, from the patient’s needs to the physician’s recommendations.  We are a multi-disciplined Home Health Agency that can provide a wide array of Professional services to help treat and rehabilitate those in need of our services in the comfort of their home.  Our Home Health Care Agency provides high quality health care services through a coordinated plan of treatment by providing positive channels of communication with the patient’s physician.

Our Agency and Staff recognize the unique physical, emotional and even spiritual needs of each person.  We strive to extend the highest level of services to clients and caregivers.  Our goal of service is to achieve quality patient care above all.  Listed below are the skilled services that Harrison County Home Health provides.

Our Nursing services include: Wound/Decubitus Care Management, Diabetic Management and Care, Cardiac/Respiratory Care, Post-Operative Care, Diagnosis teaching and instructions, Medication teaching, Pediatric monitoring, and IV therapy.

Physical Therapy services, assist patients in recovering, restoring and maintaining maximum strength and endurance and restore musculoskeletal abilities.  We treat arthritis, fractures, sprains, patients with limited ambulation, and unsteady gait.  Our therapists are specialized in helping the patient restore their functional limitations, and confidence in their ability to ambulate.

Occupational Therapy: Skills include patient treatment for those impaired due to a physical illness, developmental disability, or the aging process, and Activities of Daily Living or ADL retraining.

Speech Therapy is now being offered.  Speech therapy can help with swallowing conditions, speech impairments, swallowing studies, and much more.

Harrison County Home Health also provides assistance with personal care.  We are glad  to assist with bathing or personal hygiene needs on a weekly basis.  However, it is our goal to allow the client to return to an independent life as soon as possible.Home Health care is all about assisting a client and the family in returning back to their highest level of functioning, as before the debilitating condition.  It is not our aim to stay within the client’s home for long periods of time.

So, if you or someone you know has an illness or a condition requiring a nurse, or a therapist, please give us a call or call your physician.  A referral is all we need to evaluate for home health care.

Home Health care is funded by Medicare, Medicaid, and some private insurances.

We continue to service Harrison County and parts of Mercer, Daviess, and Gentry counties.

Home Health and Hospice Director
