LIGHT UP A LIFE…

BECOME A HOSPICE VOLUNTEER!

If there is one word that can describe the special underlying quality that all hospice volunteers possess, it is compassion.

Are you a caring individual who is interested in giving just a little bit of your time to help people with a life-limiting illness and their families?

HARRISON COUNTY HOSPICE

NEEDS YOU!

Hospice Volunteers are some of those people that have figured out that it’s much better to give than to receive in this life.  They are the ones who are there to help because they realize that they, too might one day need the help of others.  They are your friends, your neighbors, your family members that just want to go that one little extra mile that can mean so much in the life of a terminally ill patient and their family.

Hospice Volunteers provide service in many areas including:

Caregiver Relief

Companionship

Emotional Support to the Family

Nursing Home Visits

Shopping and Errands

Meal Preparation

Light Housekeeping

Clerical/Office Work

Assistance with Hospice Events

Volunteers will receive specialized training in an informal setting that is offered at Harrison County Health Department in Bethany, MO.

Volunteers who can provide professional services such as notaries, beauticians, etc. are especially needed.

For Volunteer Training Information please contact Volunteer Coordinator, Gina Myers at Harrison County Health Department, Home Health and Hospice at (660) 425-6324
